Agents operate as 1099 independent contractors, not W-2 employees. Discuss the commission schedule, business expenses, and chargeback terms during onboarding.

This is like one of my favorite question to answer. I'm kinda like a freak when it comes to this answer because I just I smile and I kinda get excited for it. What does our onboarding and our training process look like at Odyssey Financial Group?
I'm gonna kinda break this down in kinda two parts. Obviously, the the the onboarding is one thing, and then once you're kinda done with the boring stuff, you kinda get right on to the training, which is, like, the best.
I obviously big hand in that, a big a big part of that project. And to kinda see what it's done for so many families and so many people, it's just been extraordinary to see. But let's start out with the onboarding. So there's two different types of people we would onboard. They are licensed agents, people that have already gotten their certifications.
Then there is non licensed agents. We love both. Okay? Not saying we love our non licensed a little bit more because we don't got any bad habits, and we gotta teach them fresh. They're kinda like a sponge at that point. We do love them both, but I'm gonna kinda go over the non licensed first, then I'm gonna go over the the license because at one point, they kinda reached the same process when they're both licensed, and it kinda moves to the rest of the onboarding process and then to the training, which is kinda like the big part I'm excited to explain to you. So if you are not licensed, we find this to be a fit.
You like us. We like you. We wanna take the time and effort to move forward with you and get you through the certification process.
That's when we have an extensive team in our leadership team that you get assigned to actually walk you through step by step the actual getting your precertification, which is done online. Then it usually takes you a couple days. Then you actually schedule an exam to actually take your certification test as it's the highest regulated industry in the entire world other than pharmaceutical sales.
You get certified, and we have a team holding your hand, helping you through the Excel, helping which is the pre licensing, helping you schedule your exam, fingerprints if you have to do it, stuff like that for a background check, and then you are licensed. Congratulations.
Most times, we like to get that done in about seven to fourteen days, and we have a team holding your hand the entire process helping you get it. We're just not gonna throw hope throw you to the wolves to hope for the best. At that time, you're licensed, and then you're kind of the same place that there are other licensed brokers that are ready to get started at Odyssey Financial Group. At this point in time, we then get you to our onboarding team where you're gonna get a welcome packet.
We call this our game plan or a new agent packet or onboarding packet. There's a lot of names from it. It is a step by step process, start to finish of what we do, how we do it, includes all of our training material, our schedule material, our videos, our instructions, our tools, our resources. It's like you're all in one holy grail, holy bio, holy blueprint, treasure map, whatever you wanna call it.
When you get that, that then prompts you with the steps of, of course, with a leader step by side with you to number one, get your contracts done. You just send your contracts into the carriers. Usually, those come back in about seven, ten, maybe fourteen days if you have any background things we have to go over. We like to shoot for seven to fourteen days.
Your contracts are coming in, and then you're ready to write. After that, we're not just that after you get your contracts and you're waiting those seven to fourteen days, we're not just gonna let you sit around and wait till they come in, and then we'll train you. We're gonna use the time to get going right away. Okay?
So we're gonna actually walk you through our four step process, and our four step process is in our, obviously, financial group game plan packet that walks you through every step. But just to kinda break it down to you, it's four parts. One, a boot camp that teaches you the fundamentals. It's an amazing step by step process that kinda quizzes you on everything you're learning.
Two is our one week, two week training schedule. It's somewhere we have it broken down in two weeks, but you can actually get it done in a week. It's just like a recommended schedule. But if you're really committed, really seriously, you wanna make big splash when you come in here, you could just get it done fairly quick.
And then step three, of course, is our workshops and our one on one training that we have with you. That would be done with your mentor or done in a group session with other individuals that are fairly new. And then the last step, of course, which is the real reason we're so successful is our shadowing program. That's where you're watch live calls, live presentations, live clients, see presentations, applications.
You're seeing fifty, a hundred appointments being booked by several people in the morning sessions. Come in the afternoon, you're seeing seven, eight, nine, ten presentations. Monday through Friday, you're seeing so much action. It's almost impossible for you not to pick it up.
So that's also part of the training calendar. We have designated times of shadow and stuff. We just break it down into a fourth part because it is so serious. Of course, then we have inspection, release meetings, and we get you, obviously, a lead plan, and we really get you to the steps to be a very successful producer here at Aussie Financial Group.
And throughout the entire process, you're being led by such great leaders. It's kind of also training you on a leadership perspective, which that would be a whole different conversation later on. But that is our onboarding system of a whole team kinda walking you through the entire thing step by self to get your certification or to get your contracts in, and then we get you your onboarding packet or your game plan packet that walks you through the entire process wired with some of the most amazing men and women that are ever gonna lead you.

This is always a good one. How does virtual life insurance sales work? It's really, simple. So we get requests from men and women nationwide requesting our benefits, whether it's mortgage protection, final expenses, or any other type of likelihood benefits, could be annuities, debt consolidation, financial services.
They ask for our help. And when they ask for our help, we get these resources fresh right to us, right into our CRM. Right? These are mailers.
These are forms. These are verified calls. These are people that have reached out multiple times in the process. And what happens is our representation then contacts them virtually, not like a Zoom, not like a Google Meets, not like a meeting.
We do everything on the phone. So what our individuals do is in the morning, what they're gonna do is they are gonna call the clients that they just got access to in their CRM, make it their leads. They're gonna contact the clients. With those clients, they're then gonna set up later times with them in that day, whether it's two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Usually, the calls are anywhere from fifteen minutes if if they don't find the value in it. In thirty minutes, if they do see the value, we enroll them, and we protect that family.
It's pretty much a one time transaction. It's not like we have to go in person. We don't get any signatures, any documents sent over them. It's not very long process.
It's a very quick call them, set the appointment later in the afternoon. You show up when you when you call them. You walk them through the presentation of kind of what they requested, how it works, what the price is, what options there are, and kind of how the actual, end result came to be. If they like what they see, which majority of the time they do, we do an application.
And the application then approves them right away. It's a onetime transactional call. Then we get them set their MyPolicyInfo, which would be like an account that they can access all their information at. And then what happens is we just give them on their way.
We say, congratulations.
You've been approved because we always have a carrier that can accept them. After then they've been accepted, all we do is, basically hang up. We don't need to do anything else. Two to three days later, we get an automatic ACH transfer right into our bank account from the policy that we just sold. It's it's quite an extraordinary setup as long as you have WiFi, a computer or tablet, and your phone, you can work literally anywhere. We're talking true blue virtual sales.
Make calls in your pajamas. You can make calls in a full suit. You can make calls from your bedroom, from your kitchen, on vacation, on the beach. As long as it's quiet, you can really work anywhere you want.
It's an incredible opportunity. There's not really a lot of set schedules. You kind of create your schedule. We work mainly like Monday to Friday, because we really set in the morning, run presentation in the afternoon, do applications, and then we get paid a couple days later.
It's a phenomenal setup.

This is always big for a lot of new people that are first starting out. Do you have to pay for your leads? Yes. You do have to pay for your leads.
Right? Don't let that be a shocker. These leads are highly qualified, quality leads that are ready for you to go out there and provide them value. Okay?
Why we do this first off is to allow you guys to have the best types of resources so you guys know our company actually kinda does a lot more of the upfront cost on those resources. So what you guys are seeing and actually have to pay for is, like, twenty percent, fifteen, twenty percent of what they actually cost. We're taking on a lot of the actual cost of the lead so we can have such a quality of resources coming in.
Think of this as we're a partnership where we're able to have the funnel, have all the verified clients. When you pay for the clients, you own them. They're yours. You're getting them right away in your CRM that you get a contact and call.
At the end of the day, remember, these are tax write offs, guys. We are ten ninety nine employees, so the actual resources you buy are actually a tax write off. Okay? A big reason where you're also buying the leads is because then you actually have kinda skin in the game.
They're yours. You actually have to work them. A lot of companies, guys, who you know will say they'll pay for your leads, and they'll give you the best resources. But guess what?
They're all free.
Free isn't always the best.
I've worked for captive companies that I've given been given tens of hundreds of thousands of free leads, and none of them wanted what we had to offer. It was almost like I was cold calling them, or I was calling them out of the blue and they had no understanding of why I was getting a hold of them. They almost thought I was a weirdo, which was not very fun. Okay?
So when you do pay for a portion of leads and we take on most of the most of the cost, you guys are getting the highest quality resources. And again, remember, these are a tax write off. You own them. You can utilize them, hand them off to your agents.
You're always going to get amazing ROI. ROI, we strive for an eight to ten to a twelve times ROI based on your purchase. That is what we strive ourself on at a very high level.

This comes to mind for a lot of individuals that are kind of scared to go all in.
Is this a full time position or is this a part time position? I'm going to be fully transparent with this answer. We are looking for full time participants, full time associates, full time agents. Guys, this is something where this is new.
This is gonna be different. This is something maybe you've never done before, and there's a lot of time that needs to go into it to get you the level that we want you at. Understand, men and women don't need a college degree for this. They're not going to semesters long in school.
They're not going through tons and tons of courses and months and months of preparation. Guys, our men and women get their certifications. They come in here. They go through a training.
They're helping families and making income they deserve helping their own family at the same time. Okay? So when we look at someone that's a part time earner, obviously, we're about quality over quantity. We know they have what it takes.
Right? But at the end of the day, if you're working part time and you're balancing a lot of things, your time starts to dwindle a bit. You don't get to put as much effort into what will be your development here. And if you're not putting effort into your development here, such as other individuals that are going full go, it's kinda hard for us to invest our time, invest our resources as we, again, cover a majority of the cost for that.
It's hard for us to kinda do that for you considering you're not able to go all in. Okay? Some people have made it work. I've seen a lot of people be able to balance that, but the goal would not be a part time forever type of thing.
It would be like a two week, four week plan to get you out of part time. So if that is something that you think you're able to do, where your goal is to be two or four weeks out of the part time and you do have time to train and be developed and to be shown the system and processes, we'd happy to have you. But more or less, I will tell you we are looking for full time individuals.
